Dīsir Studio exists because our curiosity never stopped asking for more. After graduating from Cordwainers Footwear at London College of Fashion, we went on to work as designers, footwear technologists, and product line managers. Throughout our time in large companies, we witnessed a rapid rise in new technologies—but also the challenges brands faced in upskilling teams and adapting established workflows.Guided by a desire to explore and evolve, we began diving into 3D modelling and printing, and more recently, the fast-moving world of AI. As AI continues to develop, it increasingly intersects with 3D generation, rendering, and rapid ideation, expanding what’s possible in the early stages of design. Our passion for hands-on making and traditional craft is central to who we are. 3D printing, in particular, has opened exciting new avenues for creating hardware and heels. Previously, producing intricate or unconventional heel designs required costly moulds and lengthy development. Today, 3D printing allows us to experiment freely—transforming an idea from sketch, to digital model, to prototype, and even to a final wearable heel within days. This immediacy enables us to push creative boundaries without the limitations of traditional tooling. For us, embracing new technology has never been about replacing craftsmanship; it’s about enhancing it. These tools allow for shorter lead times, faster prototyping, stronger digital visuals, and more efficient development cycles, all while preserving the heritage and skill embedded in footwear design.Dīsir Studio was founded to bring together the craft we learned at university with the innovations that have emerged since—merging tradition with technology to shape the future of footwear design.
